If you are experiencing issues where Total Response fails to open, freezes, or crashes immediately after clicking "New Call," use the following guide to resolve the problem.
Issue Overview
Symptom: Total Response shuts down unexpectedly or freezes when initiating a new call.
Common Trigger: This behavior is frequently linked to pending or incomplete Windows Updates on the local workstation, the server, or both.
Recommended Solution
Please follow these steps in order to restore stability to the application:
Step 1: Check for Local Windows Updates
Pending updates can cause compatibility issues with call-handling software.
On your workstation, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
Click Check for updates.
Install all available updates and reboot your computer.
Step 2: Check the Server Status
If local updates do not resolve the issue, the server hosting the application may require maintenance.
Contact your internal IT Department.
Request that they check for pending Windows Updates on the Total Response Server.
Have IT perform a controlled reboot of the server if updates were installed or if the system has a high uptime.
Still having trouble?
If you have completed the updates and rebooted both the workstation and the server but the issue persists, please reply to this ticket or contact support for further investigation.
Note: When reporting a persistent issue, please include your workstation ID and the time the last crash occurred to help our team pull the relevant logs.
