If your agency is experiencing widespread issues logging into Total Response (PowerPhone) across any workstation, follow the sequential resolution methods below to restore access.
Method 1: Server Reboot & Service Verification
This is the primary resolution step and should be attempted first.
Contact your local IT department to perform a full reboot of the server(s) hosting Total Response.
Verify that all Total Response services automatically initialize and return to a Running status post-reboot.
Once services are verified as active, attempt to log back into Total Response from the workstations.
Note: If the required services do not start up automatically after the reboot, proceed directly to Method 2.
Method 2: Manual Restart of Server Services
Use this secondary method if services fail to start automatically or if a full server reboot is not immediately feasible. Administrative server access or IT assistance may be required.
Log into the server hosting the Total Response applications.
Open Windows Search, type Services (or press
Win + R, typeservices.msc, and press Enter).Locate the following two services in the list:
PowerPhone Log In Manager (or Total Response Log In Manager)
PowerPhone Launcher (or Total Response Launcher)
Right-click each service individually and select Restart.
Confirm both services show a status of Running, then test logging in from the workstations again.
Escalation
If workstation login issues persist after completing both Method 1 and Method 2:
Internal: Contact your agency's IT Management for local network inspection.
External: Escalate directly to PowerPhone Technical Support for advanced diagnostics.
